WHEN IN MALAYSIA

If you think that you have to spend a lot of money to enjoy traveling abroad, and if you assume that visiting new places is costly, then you are mistaken.
During my trip to Malaysia earlier this year, I found out that there are actually many good sites that
you can visit there without spending that much. When in Malaysia, here are the places that you can go over to.

  Petronas Towers

Of course, you shouldn’t miss taking a picture of, and with, the twin skyscrapers of Malaysia- the Petronas Towers! I believe it is the most famous landmark in Kuala Lumpur. I’ve seen many photos of the towers even before I came to see them in person.
It’s actually good to take photos both in day time and night time.

Merdeka Square

Merdeka Square, also called Dataran Merdeka is a vast green field situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. It plays an important role in the history of the locals as it is where the Malayan Flag was first raised as a symbol of independence from the British Rule.
You can stay there and relax if the sun is not that hot.

Kuala Lumpur City Gallery

KLC Gallery is fun! You will discover the story of Kuala Lumpur through photos and miniatures.

When you are in KLC Gallery, you should never miss the “Spectacular City Model Show”, which is the highlight of this gallery. It showcases the city’s past, present and future through advance multimedia projection. Amazing! It’s my first time to witness a show like this. :D

  Music Museum

Here you will discover the different musical instruments used in Malaysia through time. The museum exhibits prehistoric musical instruments which dated from the 16th century. You’ll surely get to know more about their history through Music!

Kasturi Walk

If you are into shopping, you may want to consider dropping by the Kasturi Walk. It is a covered, open-air flea market near the Central Market where you will come across food stalls and find various items such as handbags, T-shirts and many more.

Perdana Botanical Garden

This garden gives the ambiance of a tropical rain forest in a busy city. It is a beautiful garden which features tropical plants, rare fruit trees and many more. If you will visit this place, better be there early so you can enjoy walking around without being in a haste.

Little India

If you want to see a different world in Malaysia, you go and visit Little India! Here you will find Indian restaurants and stores selling traditional Indian goods. The place is colorful, too.

Batu Caves

Batu Caves is a hill that has a series of caves and cave temples. It’s a bit far from the city but it’s worth the long travel. I believe it is one of the most visited sites in Malaysia as you will see many tourists in the place.

You have to endure walking through the long stairs to get to the cave. There are also monkeys freely roaming around so you better be on guard with your things. It’s fun though! =D

These are the places that you can discover in Malaysia. And mind you, you don’t even have to spend that much! You just need to allocate some money for transportation and food.  So, if you’re looking for a new place to visit on your next vacation, consider Malaysia!

  1. Actually some countries in South East Asia are inexpensive. Plus it's visa free for Philippines passport holders, which is good for budget travelers. :-)

  10. I've been to KL back in 2007, and I've seen the one in your first photo, and of course, the Petronas Twin Towers! ♥ I must say that Malaysia is definitely one of the cleanest and safest countries to go to. I wish I could visit this country again! Hope to hear from you soon!
