DANCE YOUR DREAMS

Have you ever felt the desire of achieving things but found yourself uninspired to even make the first move? Or maybe you already made some plans on how to reach those dreams but along the way you lost the beat of dancing into them? The beginning of the year is always the best time to restart and rekindle those aspirations. I know, we’re already on our second month, but I believe it’s never too late. :)

I read from a book that we don’t get to have dreams we couldn’t achieve. I mean, when we desire for something, it is indeed attainable.
We all have different aspirations or goals. It could be buying a luxurious car or building the ideal home. For some, maybe it’s owning a business they love or being successful in their chosen field. It could also be retiring early, or maybe traveling around the world. For some perhaps, it’s establishing a charitable institution to help a lot of people. Well, they differ from person to person.

With the many things that we want, do we really know how to achieve them? Allow me to share with you my personal thoughts and tips that could get us started:

1.       Visualize your dreams. Create a dream board. If you want to realize your goals, you first have to write them down. Be specific as to the type of car or house, places to visit and others. Post your dream board in a place where you will always see it. This will serve as a daily reminder that will get you stay focused and inspire you. Also, don’t forget to pray about your desires.

2.       Plan to make your dreams happen. Dreaming is one thing. But making them happen is another. You should write down your specific action plans. Most of our goals if not all, require money. But unfortunately, most of us struggle with our finances.  Is having a single job enough? Plan out to increase your income and improve your budget. You could strategize to cut down unnecessary expenses and increase your savings. Or plan to get a part time job or business.

3.       Act! A famous quote says, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. You need to do something. You have to make the first move, and be consistent about it. Act on your goals if you don’t want them to remain as dreams. Stop daydreaming and start making them real!

Maybe you’re one of those who got busy with life’s daily routines and have lost the rhythm of their dreams. Don’t be sad. Cheer up! It’s about time to awaken those aspirations. Restart the music and dance your dreams again. :)
