FROM CLARKE QUAY TO SENTOSA

Here’s the third part and will be my last post on my back to Singapore adventure. Clarke Quay, Chinatown and Sentosa were our three stops on our third day in SG. Our hotel was just walking distance to Clark Quay so it was easy for us to go there. The place seemed to be quiet during daytime and nothing much was really happening so we just roamed around the place and took some photos.

Here’s the continuation of my back to Singapore adventure. Sorry for taking it too long. Been very busy lately. Our second day in SG happened to be our convention which was the main reason of this out of the country trip.

BACK TO SINGAPORE

Remember my post last year about my first visit to Singapore? I told you how brief it was and that I would definitely go back. Well, true enough, I did! And this time, I had more time to explore the city. So here’s how our first day in SG went out..

THE 1ST ANGAT PILIPINAS FINANCIAL LITERACY AWARDS

One significant event that I have attended last month was the First Angat Pilipinas Financial Literacy Awards Night. The event was held last April 16 at the SMX Aura Convention Center. It was launched by Angat Pilipinas Coalition for Financial Literacy, a non-profit financial literacy organization who aims to promote financial education to the Filipinos all over the world. The event’s goal was to unite the financial advocates in our country and to recognize their efforts in spreading financial literacy.

THE GRAND FLOAT PARADE [Panagbenga 2015]

Who would not want to witness the very exciting Panagbenga Festival Grand Float Parade in Baguio? As for me,  I was lucky to witness the event and be part of it.
It was my first time to attend the Panagbenga Festival and I was fortunate enough to get close up photos of the floats. They were all beautiful! Flowers are naturally adorable and seeing them being crafted into wonderful floats make them even more attractive! It must have been a lot of hard work and creativity to come up with such floats.

THE BAGUIO ESCAPADE

As promised, I’m gonna be sharing with you my adventures from last month. Again, my apologies for the late update. I told you in my previous post that I had been very busy with travels last March. Well, it started with my escapade in Baguio- the Summer Capital of the Philippines! So timely for summer, right?

OH, TIME!

Hi guys! Did you miss me? Sorry for taking it too long. I’ve really been busy lately. The whole month of March was full of trips. I had different travels every week. My apologies for not taking time to update you with my latest adventures. Literally it was a month full of travels. So I kind of got disoriented and I wasn’t even able to do my tasks as planned, including my blogger duties. :(

DANCE YOUR DREAMS

Have you ever felt the desire of achieving things but found yourself uninspired to even make the first move? Or maybe you already made some plans on how to reach those dreams but along the way you lost the beat of dancing into them? The beginning of the year is always the best time to restart and rekindle those aspirations. I know, we’re already on our second month, but I believe it’s never too late. :)

MY ULTIMATE POWER PLANNER

Having too many "things to do" can be confusing and frustrating at times. It makes you feel like not wanting to start anything because you don’t know where or how to begin. Or you end up accomplishing the less important tasks over the important ones. That’s how having a planner solves your dilemma. As for me, I have this favorite planner which I have been using consistently over the years! Wanna know what it is? It’s the Belle de Jour Power Planner for kikay bellas like me! :D

For five years now, BDJ has never failed to surprise me with new and exciting features. Aside from helping me organize my daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities, BDJ helps me discover myself and encourages me to achieve my dreams. With the goals section, I can set my vision statement and enumerate my objectives for the year. There’s also a part where I can create my dream board. It’s really fun cutting out pictures that symbolize my aspirations in life! Haha! There’s a health checklist to remind me of check-ups. There’s even a menstrual tracker and other exciting tools varying every year. Another thing that I also like about BDJ planner are the beauty tips and articles for monthly read. Not to mention the exciting discount coupons from the best brands in our country! And there’s actually a whole lot more! Better see it for yourself. ;)

Belle de Jour is more than just a planner. It’s a community. BDJ has a lot of events and activities in store for the bellas for the whole year. I get to attend an event once entitled FEARS TO FIERCE and it was really fun! :)
BDJ is one of the things that I look forward to whenever the year ends because it's my time to purchase a new planner and get to see its new design and features. :D

How about you? Do you have a favorite planner, too? Try the Belle de Jour Power Planner, so you too can experience what I'm talking about! ;)

STOP AND THINK

As we start our year, it is important that we take some time to pause for a while, look back at what happened in our previous year, reflect upon our experiences, internalize on what we have learned and think about what improvements to be done this year. Sometimes, with our busy schedule and with overwork we tend to be stressed-out. A moment of silence will allow us to freshen up and start anew.

I myself took that time of reflection. I even listed down the highlights of my previous year and wrote down the things that I learned. 2014 had taught me many ideas and realizations. And I'm sharing with you some of them. One great principle that I learned last year was the importance of knowing and pursuing our passion.  Nowadays, our world have set us a lot of standards on what career to pursue, what style to wear, or whatsoever, but we don’t necessarily have to follow them. We don't have to do what other people expect us to do. Rather, we need to seek through ourselves what we really want and strive for it. To pray about our desire is also a big help. It may be confusing sometimes, but realizing our passion will give us a sense of fulfillment. Success is not achieved in just being the best in our current career, but in being able to pursue our passion and the career that we really wanted. <3

Another principle that I am thankful I learned last year was the value of personal growth. I heard from some mentors that the key to success is not achieved through developing our skills alone, but through developing our inner self. We should continuously improve our character and the way we treat other people. If we strive to improve our personality, success comes easily.  It should be continuous as we live.  It’s never ending. :)

I actually have more to share but that’s it for now. :D How about you? Have you already taken some time to stop and think? What were the things you learned in your 2014? C’mon! Share me your thoughts, guys! ;)
